A Youth Ecofestival has been planned for the Smolenka Yacht Port on 21 May 2025, the eve of the Congress, with the support of the Rosatom State Corporation. The festival seeks to engage young people in the environmental agenda and science. The Russian Environmental Operator is also organizing a SUP swim along the Smolenka River, from the embankment at Alexander Volodin Square to Ural Bridge and back, that promises to be a highlight of the event. Around the starting line, participants will take part in activities promoting eco-friendly sports like stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). The event will kick off at 13:00 and wrap up at 16:00, with registration on Фонтанка.ру.

The Clean Coast International Youth Eco-Event, one of the largest eco-educational events ever planned for the city, will take place on the southern shore of Kotlin Island from 10:30 to 17:00 on 17 May 2025. Participants will clean up coastal areas, take part in environmental quests, and visit training stations to learn about separating the waste collected, with event partners and organizers handing out prizes to the best teams.

The Universe of Water and Museum of Russian Naval Glory in Kronstadt will be hosting the 25th Anniversary Baltic Sea Day International Environmental Forum on 20–21 May 2025, during which important issues of water conservation and the protection of marine and coastal areas of the Baltic will be discussed, with an opportunity to share experience greening the fleet and combating the effects of climate change.
