Youth Day of the 10th Nevsky International Ecological Congress

Youth Day will become a key point of attraction for more than 2,000 representatives of various environmental and youth communities. This includes students, environmental activists, and representatives of environmental organizations and business.

The Brusnitsyn Cultural Quarters will feature an exposition with a wide variety of environmental activities and entertainment events. Meals will be organized for participants. Popular youth artists and ‘atomic’ rock bands will perform at the evening concert. 

The event will include the first meeting of the All-Russian Youth Ecological Forum “Ecosystem”, which will be attended by regional representatives. During the meeting, voting will be held to elect co-chairs and the establishment of a coordinating council will be announced.

The extensive business programme, which will be attended by more than 100 speakers and industry experts, is particularly noteworthy. At least a thousand people from several dozen regions of Russia will participate in the business programme. This includes members of the All-Russian Youth Ecological Forum “Ecosystem”, representatives of the youth environmental organizations “Ecosophia” and “Volonteri Lesa” (Forest Volunteers), All-Russian public organization of environmental volunteers “Delai” (Do) and All-Russian volunteer ecological campaign “Voda Rossii” (Water of Russia), finalists of the “EcoGeneration” project, delegations of corporate volunteers from leading organizations that pursue the environmental agenda, such as Russian Railways, Rosatom State Corporation, Norilsk Nickel, PhosAgro, and others, as well as student community activists. 

Officials who have been invited to participate in the opening of Youth Day include: Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko, Russian Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment Alexander Kozlov, Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Director Ksenia Razuvayeva, Rosatom State Corporation Director General Alexey Likhachev, and Chairman of the Board of the Russian Public-State Movement of Children and YouYouth “Dvizheniye Pervykh” Grigory Gurov.

The central event of the business programme will be the plenary session ‘Eco-Professions: The Present and the Future’. Officials invited to the event include the speakers from the official opening of the Youth Day, as well as Kamchatka Territory Governor Vladimir Solodov, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District Governor Dmitry Artyukhov, and Russian Railways Deputy General Director Dmitry Shakhanov. Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Galina Karelova will be the guest of honour of the business programme.

The business programme will include a total of 15 sessions.

Youth Day will also feature the final of the Eco-Generation competition as part of the Eco-Trend national project, which is being organized by the Russian Public-State Movement of Children and Youth “Dvizheniye Pervykh”. The co-organizer is the “Bolshaya Peremena” (Great Change) autonomous non-commercial organization, a project of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs that is part of the presidential platform ‘Russia – Land of Opportunities’.

The following organizations will have booths at the exhibition: Rosatom State Corporation, PhosAgroAll-Russian Youth Ecological Forum “Ecosystem”,, Russian Public-State Movement of Children and Youth “Dvizheniye Pervykh”, the Environmental Centre “ECO.TSEKH”, the project “Chistaya Arktika” (Clean Arctic), the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the National Priorities autonomous non-commercial organization, the “Ecosophia” project, autonomous non-commercial organizations “Sad Pamytai” (Garden of Memory), “Volonteri Lesa” (Forest Volunteers), the Russian Society “Znanie” (Knowledge), the platform “Drugoye Delo”, the campaign “Voda Rossii” (Water of Russia), etc. 

Who can attend Youth Day?

Leaders and representatives of public environmental organizations, associations, and projects, student and school activists, young entrepreneurs, as well as activists of youth policy committees.

Age of participants: from 14 up to 35 years old.
