Specialized thematic sessions as part of the 17th Ecology International Forum

International Forum ‘Ecology’ is a public platform for discussing pressing environmental issues and the formation of public policy guidelines in the field of environmental protection and management.

The Forum, which has been held annually since 2009, is attended by more than 1,300 representatives from all levels of government, public and commercial organizations, the scientific community, and independent experts.

The Forum is organized by the Centre of Assistance to Environmental Initiatives Ecology. To effectively promote the initiatives of the Forum, a Public Council has been established under the Centre, chaired by State Duma Deputy and Head of the Expert Council on Specially Protected Natural Territories under the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation Nikolay Valuev.

Every year, the work of the Forum leads to the release of the Public Resolution on Environmental Protection and Ecological Development of the Russian Federation, which unites the initiatives of all participants in environmental activities in a single document. The Resolution is sent to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and federal authorities.
