Ecology and Creativity
25 March-24 April

The City and Nature: Harmony in Unity exhibition will be open to residents and guests of St. Petersburg from 25 March to 24 April 2026. The event will take place at the Russia – My History multimedia historical park under the auspices of the Nevsky International Ecological Congress.

The exhibition features forty photographs taken in protected areas of the Russian Federation. These include: Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park (Krasnoyarsk Territory), Sochi National Park (Krasnodar Territory), Teberda Nature Reserve (Karachay-Cherkess Republic), Caucasian State Nature Reserve (Republic of Adygea, Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Krasnodar Territory), Kislovodsk National Park (Stavropol Territory), Voronezh Natural Reserve (Voronezh Region), Astrakhan Natural Reserve (Astrakhan Region), Russian North National Park (Vologda Region), Kizhi Natural Reserve (Republic of Karelia), Pribaikalsky National Park (Irkutsk Region), Khibiny National Park (Murmansk Region), Kenozero National Park (Arkhangelsk Region), Losiny Ostrov (Moose Island) National Park (Moscow Region), as well as protected areas of St. Petersburg: Yuntolovsky Natural Reserve, Western Kotlin Natural Reserve, Komarovo Coast Natural Monument, Sergiyevka Park Natural Monument, Sestroretsk Swamp Natural Reserve, Gladyshevsky Natural Reserve, Popovka River Valley Natural Monument, and Northern Coast of the Neva Bay Natural Reserve.

The exhibition focuses on the balance between urbanization and the preservation of unique landscapes and biodiversity. This is helped greatly by the exceptional management of regulated tourism in protected areas of federal, regional, and local significance.

Visitors will learn that you do not have to travel miles out of the city to see the country’s protected areas, as many are located within major metropolitan areas, ensuring the harmonious coexistence of wildlife and modern, constantly evolving society.

The Nevsky International Ecological Congress is organized by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation. The event operator responsible for its preparation and conduct is the Roscongress Foundation.
