ENTRY TO RUSSIA FOR FOREIGN PARTICIPANTS IN THE CONGRESS



A valid passport, a visa (if a participant must obtain a visa in order to travel to Russia), and document (in Russian or English) confirming negative results of the COVID-19 PCR test that was taken no earlier than 72 hours prior to arrival in Russia are required to enter the Russian Federation. We recommend that participants bring with them a printed copy of the Congress invitation (or information letter on visa support).

There is no quarantine upon arrival in Russia.

To ensure compliance with safety measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), all participants arriving in Russia from abroad to participate in the Congress must provide information about their arrival in the personal web office in advance.

The absence of data in the personal web office or their inaccuracy may be the reason for the refusal to cross the border of the Russian Federation.



ARRIVAL INFORMATION IN THE PERSONAL WEB OFFICE


All participants arriving in Russia from abroad to participate in the Congress must provide information about their arrival in the personal web office in advance:

  • mode of transport for entry to Russia / exit from Russia;
  • dates of their arrival/departure;
  • prospective checkpoint across the state border (airport/rail terminal, city);
  • ID information (date of birth, citizenship, ID number);
  • visa number (if a participant must obtain a visa in order to travel to Russia).

The organizers kindly ask that participants provide this information to their designated specialist solely for the purposes of complying with safety measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and crossing the border into Russia without delay.

FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO ALREADY HAVE A VALID VISA


Foreign citizens who already have a valid visa to travel to Russia, should confirm their participation in the Congress and provide information about their arrival in the personal web office in advance to ensure that they can cross the border without delay and participate in the Congress.


To cross the border of Russia, participants must provide information on:

  • mode of transport for entry to Russia / exit from Russia;
  • dates of their arrival/departure;
  • prospective checkpoint across the state border (airport/rail terminal, city);
  • ID information (date of birth, citizenship, ID number);
  • visa number.

FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO NEED TO OBTAIN A VISA


Visitors holding an invitation to the 9th Nevsky International Ecological Congress are eligible to obtain a short-term single entry visa for the period from 20 May to 9 June 2021 the same day as the application through a simplified procedure in Russian consulates abroad.



The Congress invitation will be used as the basis to issue visas for citizens of foreign countries.




To apply for an entry visa to the Russian Federation, the invited person must contact the appropriate Russian consular office abroad (information on the locations of the Russian Federation’s consular offices can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation).

We recommend that participants contact the consular departments of the Russian Federation in advance (at least 2 (two) weeks before departure).

It is not recommended to apply for entry visas at intermediary visa organizations or travel agencies that are not authorized to issue official visas.

When visiting the consular office to apply for an entry visa you must bring the following documents:

  • a valid travel document recognized by the Russian Federation (ordinary, business, diplomatic, UN passport), which must have two blank pages and be valid for at least six months after the expiry of the requested visa;
  • a printed and duly completed visa application form. The form must have been completed in advance on the website of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation visa.kdmid.ru. When filling in the application form, members of official delegations, businesspersons and accompanying persons should indicate ‘negotiations’ as the purpose of the trip. Journalists should indicate ‘press/cor’, ‘press/tech’;
  • a 35 mm × 45 mm colour or black-and-white full-face photo without tinted glasses and a head covering (a head covering is allowed only for religious reasons and if in the passport photo of the foreign citizen he/she also has a head covering). The photo must be taken no later than six months before the day of application;
  • a printed copy of the invitation to the Congress in Russian or English (or information letter on visa support);
  • a document confirming payment of the consular visa application fee (please refer to the website of the Russian consular office where the visa application will be made for information on fees);
  • a medical insurance policy valid within the Russian Federation.

VISA-FREE ENTRANCE


Citizens of countries that have visa-free entry agreements with Russia should confirm their participation in the Congress and provide information about their arrival in the personal web office in advance to ensure that they can cross the border without delay and participate in the Congress.

DOCUMENTS FOR CROSSING THE BORDER OF RUSSIA


When crossing the border, you must bring:

  • a valid passport;
  • a document (in Russian or English) confirming a negative PCR test for COVID-19, taken no earlier than 72 hours before arriving in Russia;
  • a printed copy of the Congress invitation in Russian or English (or information letter on visa support);
  • a document confirming payment of the consulate visa fee (if a participant must obtain a visa in order to travel to Russia);
  • a medical insurance policy that is valid in Russia.
